Meet the Committee
UTAGA membership is automatic for individuals who have completed at least one of the following:
- An undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto with either a major or specialist in a geography program, or
- A graduate degree administered by the Department of Geography and Program in Planning.
Members of UTAGA receive the newsletter GEOPLAN on a semi-annual basis and are invited to become actively involved in the activities of the Association. Members are also encouraged to “stay in touch”—let the Association know when you move and what you are doing with your life so that the information can be shared in a section of GEOPLAN. Address change information and alumni news should be sent to utaga@geog.utoronto.ca. Members and friends can have their email addresses added to our “Alumni Email Listings”. If you wish to have your email addresses added, please contact utaga@geog.utoronto.ca.
The Association consists of an Executive, which meets a least four times a year, and a variety of committees which meet independent of the Executive. UTAGA Committees include: Careers, Education, History of the Department, GeoTrips, GIS Workshops, Planning Alumni and Recognition. If you are interested in becoming involved with the UTAGA Executive or any of the committees, please contact utaga@geog.utoronto.ca or the UTAGA Office. New members are always welcome.
