Open Meeting for Working Group on Alternatives at St. George

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students:

At tomorrow’s St George Council Meeting, there will be an update on the “Working Group on Alternatives” (i.e., alternatives to the Dean’s proposal as presented in July). As part of our ongoing consultations, we would also like to hold an open meeting for all members of the department this Thursday afternoon, Dec 9, 1-3pm.

We felt that with the other items on the council meeting agenda, there will likely not be enough time for adequate discussion tomorrow (Tuesday). Also, some members may not have attended the Council Meeting. The open meeting on Thursday will allow for a brief review of the presentation from the Council Meeting, however the bulk of the discussion will be reserved for soliciting further feedback on the Working Group’s progress to date. We also encourage people to send emails in advance to Alana (boland@geog.utoronto.ca) or Katie (kmazer@gmail.com) with suggestions for questions or issues they would like to see put
forth in the open meeting.

Time/date: 1-3pm, Thursday, Dec 9
Place: SS 5017B
There will be coffee/tea and goodies.
