Planning Alumni Committee

The Planning Alumni Committee (PAC) is a committee of the University of Toronto Association of Geography Alumni (UTAGA). Established in 1996, PAC works to enrich the educational experiences of graduate planning students. PAC's mandate is to encourage networking among planning students, alumni, faculty and other planning industry professionals, and to raise money for the Friends of Planning Fund, which supports scholarships and activities for graduate planning students.

Mentorship program

The Department of Geography and Program in Planning is pleased to announce the launch of its mentorship program. Planning student and alumni associations have teamed up to develop a program that will match students who want career guidance with mentors.

Why get involved?
This is a great opportunity for alumni to network and reconnect with the department and the university. You may even find your next great intern or employee! Student mentees will be able to network with professionals in their desired career field and get a better idea before graduating of what the working world is like.

Who is eligible for the program?
Students: The pilot program is offered to graduate planning students who are interested in finding out more about the world of professional planners.
Mentors: We’re seeking alumni who are working as professional urban planners to mentor graduate planning students. Mentors meet with students once per term.

How do I sign up?
Please fill out an application form and return to Sidney Smith Hall room 5047, fax to 416-946-3886 or email to utaga@geog.utoronto.ca by October 31. Feel free to send any questions you may have to the same email address.
