Environmental impacts/mitigation of urban sprawl on regional infrastructure:

Land use (smart growth)
Transportation (transit oriented development, travel demand)
Waste management (landfill siting, reduction-reuse-recycling)
Greenway planning (landscape ecology and biodiversity)

Public health impacts of urban sprawl (obesity epidemic)

Relationship between public obesity, travel behaviour, and fast-food opportunity (lax zoning)

Environmental Impact Assessment, facilitation and alternative dispute resolution
