UTORmail, UTORschedule and UTORexchange

UTORmail and UTORschedule migration - University's email and calendar system migration is under its way to Microsoft (MS) Exchange.  All staff and faculty members who are using UTORschedule have to use UTORexhange commencing from Feb. 27th, 2009.

Status - Currently, UTORexchange is available to all staff and faculty members.

Migration -  Please read though the migration preparation detail first and make sure your system meets all the requirements before performing the migration steps.  Go to https://www.utorid.utoronto.ca/cgi-bin/utorid/migrate2exch.pl and enter your UTORid and password in the required fields.  Then click on Authenticate button.  DO NOT close the processing browser during the migration process - it may take several minutes depending on your mailbox size.   In case of any problem raises during the migration, please call 416-978-4357 then press 4 to reach the Exchange Migration Help Desk.  Once successfully migrated your emails and schedule to UTORexchange, your email will be stored in UTROexchange and not in UTORmail.  Please see the information below for the email and schedule access detail.

Access - Email and calendar can be accessed through the following methods:

Web access - please go to http://owa.utoronto.ca and enter utorarbor\(utorid) in the username field and your password in the password field.  Please note that the web access works better with MS Internet Explore (IE) 6.0 and up.
Local mail clients software -
MS Outlook 2007 - please see http://exchange.utoronto.ca/outlook_2007.html for setup and configuration detail.
MS Outlook 2003 - please see http://exchange.utoronto.ca/outlook_2003.html  for setup and configuration detail.
MS Entourage 2008 - please see http://exchange.utoronto.ca/entourage.html for setup and configuration detail.

Others (email access only) - such as Thunderbird and Mac Mail which lack of MS Outlook Calendar future.  Please see http://exchange.utoronto.ca/imap.html for setup and configuration detail.
     IMAP server: eximap.utoronto.ca, using SSL on TCP port 993
     SMTP server: exsmtp.utoronto.ca, using TLS on TCP port 587
Calendar can still be accessed through http://owa.utoronto.ca by using MS IE 6.0 and up.

POP3 - Not supported.
